Here’s proof that CNC mills can make highly complex parts.
Two videos from the archives of Make: magazine demonstrate the true power of CNC milling. The first shows Ben Krasnow using a conventional milling setup with an unfluted diamond cutter (and plenty of tooling fluid!) to cut plate glass and mirrors. The second video showcases the production of an award for the MobiPrize using a 5-axis mill. It’s a Mobius strip made from recycled aluminum.
